Job summary

North East Transportation Company Inc. is seeking a maintenance technician to perform preventative maintenance and inspections on the CTtransit Waterbury bus fleet and related support vehicles.

You will work in a modern maintenance facility ensuring all vehicles meet safety standards, with CDL-related tasks possibly required and assistance provided to obtain endorsements if needed.

Qualifications

• 1+ year experience in preventative maintenance or mechanics.
• Transit maintenance experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and inspections on CTtransit Waterbury fleet and support vehicles.
• Work in a state-of-the-art maintenance facility to ensure safety and standards.

Job description

Job Overview

Responsible for preventative maintenance and inspection of the CTtransit Waterbury division City Transit and Paratransit bus fleet as well as support vehicles. Working in state of the art bus maintenance facility. Vehicle maintenance staff play a critical role in making sure all vehicles are safe and up to standards.

Wages

$27.00 per hour

Full-time position minimum of 40 hours per week.

Interested candidates must have at least 1 years experience in the preventative maintenance/mechanics' field. Transit experience is a plus. CDL license with passenger and air brake endorsement required or to be obtained within 6 months of employment (Company will assist). Transit experience is a plus.
