GTI Fabrication in Goodyear, AZ is seeking a Preventative Maintenance Technician to support facility operations, preventive maintenance, and equipment reliability.

You will perform scheduled PM tasks, inspect systems, troubleshoot basic issues, and maintain records while coordinating with vendors and the Facilities Manager.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in facility or industrial maintenance

Position Summary

GTI is seeking a Preventative Maintenance Technician to support facility operations, preventive maintenance, equipment reliability, and grounds maintenance at our Goodyear manufacturing campus. This role will be responsible for performing routine preventive maintenance, conducting facility and equipment inspections, identifying potential issues before they result in equipment failure or costly repairs, and supporting corrective maintenance activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on facility equipment, building systems, tools, and grounds equipment
• Conduct routine inspections of facility systems and equipment to identify wear, damage, leaks, safety concerns, or other potential issues
• Identify maintenance needs and recommend repairs or replacement before equipment failure occurs
• Troubleshoot basic mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and facility-related issues
• Perform routine maintenance such as lubrication, filter changes, belt and hose inspections/replacement, adjustments, tightening, cleaning, and other scheduled PM tasks
• Maintain accurate preventative maintenance records, inspection logs, and service documentation
• Follow established preventative maintenance schedules and ensure assigned tasks are completed on time
• Assist with corrective maintenance and repairs as needed
• Communicate equipment issues, safety concerns, and maintenance needs to the Facilities Manager
• Assist with coordinating and monitoring outside contractors and service vendors
• Help maintain an organized inventory of maintenance supplies, tools, and replacement parts
• Perform seasonal grounds maintenance, including lawn cutting, weed whacking, leaf removal, planting, garden upkeep, and weed control
• Remove snow and ice from walkways, driveways, and facility access areas, including salting during winter months
• Remove trash and empty facility hoppers as needed
• Operate ride-on floor sweepers and other facility cleaning equipment
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas throughout the facility and grounds
• Operate forklifts, zero-turn mowers, weed whackers, and other equipment safely and in accordance with company procedures
• Follow all company safety policies, OSHA requirements, and equipment-specific safety procedures
• Support the Facilities Manager with additional facility maintenance and improvement projects as needed

Requirements

Required Qualifications

• Valid Arizona Driver’s License
• 2+ years of experience in facility maintenance, industrial maintenance, equipment maintenance, or a related hands-on maintenance role
• Hands-on experience performing preventive maintenance and routine equipment inspections
• Ability to identify potential equipment or facility issues and take proactive action before they become failures
• Basic mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills
• Working knowledge of basic electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and building maintenance systems
• Ability to use common hand and power tools safely and effectively
• Ability to read and follow equipment manuals, maintenance procedures, and preventative maintenance schedules
• Ability to document completed maintenance activities and communicate maintenance concerns clearly
• Ability to operate zero-turn lawn mowers, weed whackers, and other outdoor power equipment
• Ability to operate industrial floor sweeping and cleaning equipment
• Forklift certification or ability to become certified
• Working knowledge of OSHA standards and general workplace safety requirements
• Ability to safely lift, carry, push, and pull materials and equipment as required
• Ability to work independently, prioritize maintenance needs, and respond to facility issues in a timely manner

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience working in a manufacturing, industrial, warehouse, or production environment
• Experience maintaining industrial equipment, facility systems, or production support equipment
• Experience with preventative maintenance programs, CMMS systems, or electronic maintenance tracking
• Experience with basic electrical troubleshooting and repairs
• Experience with plumbing, HVAC, pumps, motors, compressors, or other facility systems
• Experience performing inspections and identifying potential equipment failures
• Experience coordinating or working alongside outside contractors and service vendors
• Welding, fabrication, or general maintenance experience
• Previous experience with grounds maintenance and commercial facility upkeep
• OSHA or other relevant safety certifications
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to learn new equipment and systems quickly
