Job summary

New Mexico Courts in Rio Rancho, NM, is seeking a Pretrial Services Supervisor to lead a small team in conducting pretrial services for defendants ordered by the court. You will supervise staff, develop performance plans, and ensure adherence to release conditions while coordinating with treatment providers.

Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice or related field, five years in the field with at least one year in supervision, and NCIC certification within six months.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, social sciences, counseling or related field.
• Five (5) years of criminal justice, social services, probation, corrections or related field with one year in supervisory role.
• Must obtain and maintain NCIC certification within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, train, oversee, and evaluate staff recommendations for release/detention to court.
• Direct supervision of two or more pretrial staff and supervise performance plans.
• Develop employee performance plans and disciplinary actions as needed.
• Communicate program, process, rules and system changes to staff and stakeholders.
• Oversee background investigations and ensure compliance with release conditions.
• Determine defendant release eligibility based on statutes, court appearances, and history.
• Coordinate referrals to treatment providers and monitor compliance reports.
• Prepare written and oral reports on program compliance and mandates.
