The Court at Detroit is seeking a court-related professional to interview and investigate defendants under supervision, and to make recommendations on bonds and pretrial release conditions. The role involves maintaining records, coordinating with law enforcement, and ensuring compliance with court orders.

Candidatesthat are hired with less than one (1) year of experience in this title will begin at $63,706.00. Upon completion of one (1) year in the title and successful completion of the probationary period, the employee will receive a salary increase to $77,174.00.
Under general supervision of the Division Head or Designee and in accordance with established statutes and policies, interviews and investigates defendants; makes recommendations for bonds and conditions; supervises defendants released on bond; provides preliminary sentencing guideline assessments and prepares various statistical reports. Employees in this title are expected to maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.

Grant funded positions are contingent on availability of grant funding and may be terminated should funding substantially reduce or cease. The affected employee may be considered as a candidate for other vacant positions within the Court for which they are qualified.
