General Summary & Scope

The Prestige Beauty Advisor (PBA) is responsible for maximizing sales in the prestige category (color cosmetics, skincare, and fragrance) by engaging guests to determine their individual needs and assisting guests in the selection and purchase of prestige merchandise, while following all company policies and procedures. Responsibilities include maintaining store standards, supporting the Sales Manager through performance, people, and process focus, and demonstrating a passion for the beauty industry, exceptional guest service, and product knowledge.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

Performance

• Contribute to meeting or exceeding store goals related to retail and service sales, guest loyalty, retail shrink, and omni-channel sales, focusing on the prestige category and iconic brands.
• Ensure each guest receives exceptional service by greeting, engaging, personalizing service, recommending products, and informing them of promotions and events.
• Handle sales, refunds, and exchanges courteously.
• Perform makeup applications, skincare analysis, and product demonstrations to drive sales and improve guest experience.
• Support the execution of services and in-store events.
• Stay informed about industry trends, products, and services to better serve guests.
• Maintain regular attendance.

People

• Support an inclusive environment for teammates and guests.
• Collaborate with store team to grow the business.
• Participate in ongoing training to develop product knowledge and sales skills.

Process

• Ensure compliance with company policies and standards.
• Adhere to dress code.
• Maintain replenished and organized work areas, including testers and promotional displays.
• Participate in merchandise resets, inventory, and shipment processing.
• Promote the guest loyalty program and protect company assets.
• Perform other operational tasks as assigned.

Job Qualifications

Education

• High school diploma preferred.
• Cosmetology, esthetician, or demonstrator’s license as required by law.

Experience

• 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent education and experience preferred.

Skills

• Passion for prestige products, guest service, and sales.
• Strong relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Excellent communication skills.

Position Requirements

• Flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Attend meetings and conferences, including overnight stays.

Working Conditions

• Mobility throughout the store during shift.
• Frequent standing, bending, reaching, pulling, pushing, and twisting.
• Lift/move up to 10 lbs. regularly.
• Coordinate and manipulate objects continuously.
