General Summary & Scope

The Prestige Beauty Advisor (PBA) is responsible for maximizing sales in the prestige category (color cosmetics, skincare, and fragrance) by engaging guests to determine their needs and assisting in the selection and purchase of prestige merchandise, while following all company policies and procedures. Responsibilities include maintaining store standards, supporting the Sales Manager, and demonstrating a passion for the beauty industry, exceptional guest service, and product knowledge.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

The PBA performs the following duties:

Performance

• Contribute to meeting or exceeding sales goals related to retail and service sales, guest loyalty, retail shrink, and omni-channel sales, focusing on the prestige category and iconic brands.
• Provide exceptional service by greeting guests, personalizing service, recommending products, and informing about promotions and events.
• Handle sales, refunds, and exchanges courteously.
• Perform makeup applications, skincare analysis, and product demonstrations.
• Support in booking appointments and executing in-store events.
• Stay informed about industry trends, products, and ingredients.
• Maintain prompt, regular attendance.

People

• Support an inclusive environment for teammates and guests.
• Collaborate with managers and colleagues to grow the business.
• Participate in ongoing training to enhance product knowledge and sales performance.

Process

• Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and standards.
• Adhere to dress code.
• Maintain store standards, replenish and face merchandise, and ensure testers are available and hygienic.
• Participate in merchandise resets, inventory, and shipment processing.
• Promote the guest loyalty program and protect company assets.
• Perform other operational tasks as assigned.

Job Qualifications

Education

• High school diploma preferred.
• Cosmetology, esthetician, or demonstrator’s license as required by state law.

Experience

• 1 year of relevant work experience or equivalent preferred.

Skills

• Passion for prestige products, guest service, and selling.
• Strong relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Excellent communication skills.

Special Position Requirements

• Flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Attend meetings and conferences, including overnight stays.

Working Conditions

• Frequent mobility and standing throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift/move up to 10 lbs.
