Job description

Overview

A Pressure Washing Laborer specializes in pressure washing commercial and residential areas. Duties include assisting with the completion of pressure washing and then finishing it using various tools. This is an entry-level role. To be successful, a pressure washing laborer should have excellent physical stamina and enjoy working with their hands. The Pressure Washing Laborer follows directions to assist in the completion of pressure washing contracts meeting project specifications. Clean and maintain tools and equipment used. Clean up and spot check work area and maintain safety standards at all times.

This position will require travel each day to our yard in Frederick, MD to start your day and collect the equipment needed for that day.

Responsibilities
  • Transport Material
    • Load supplies and work tools onto trucks to bring to the site and may be an authorized driver of the vehicle.
    • Loading and unloading equipment, at the project site, such as pressure washing machines and cleaning chemicals.
    • Organization and tracking of equipment and materials for each job site.
  • Manage Construction Projects
    • Perform tasks involving physical labor at parking lots, garages, roadways, residential and commercial areas using pressure washing equipment.
    • Accountable for all equipment, including but not limited to pickup truck and trailer at job site and ensuring that proper materials are on site to complete each project.
    • Communication with superintendent regarding weather status, start time, and coordination of workflow on job site.
  • Work Orders, Maps and Documentation
    • Ensure that all materials are installed to manufacturer specifications for the project and all work is completed within Pave America Standards.
    • Review maps and ensure that work orders are complete to Project Manager/Customer specifications.
    • Ensure that all work photos have been submitted through Pavement Software Solutions and/or directly to the Project Manager/Customer per request on each project.
  • Production and Assistance
    • Often obtains materials, lifts heavy items, and loads the work truck to help team members.
    • Evaluate and suggest changes based on working conditions and equipment usage to increase efficiency.
  • Safety and Equipment Maintenance
    • Clean and prepare jobsite to eliminate possible hazards for crew and public safety.
    • Expected to clean up the work environment, tools, being aware of surroundings, and wearing appropriate safety gear such as hard hats and reflective vests.
    • Proper usage of equipment and assistance including but not limited to pressure washing machines and trailers.
    • Verify equipment is in proper working order and report any equipment issues to superintendent.
    • Routinely clean equipment to ensure it is in proper working condition and meets acceptable appearance standards.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

  • Laborer understands functionality of equipment including but not limited to the functionality and mechanics of the equipment.
  • Proper workflow, whether estimating materials needed or providing an expected completion date to the superintendent and understands the factors that affect project completion.
  • Analytical thinking is essential to reading and analyzing maps, work orders and ensuring a project meets all specifications. When the project schedule goes off track, Laborer must analyze how to rearrange activities or add resources to prevent delays.
  • Stamina to meet demanding schedules, frequent long hours including nights, weekends and occasional holidays.
  • Must be available to work overtime as required.
  • Some out-of-state travel may be required.
  • 1+ years experience in pressure washing is preferred.
