Job summary

TOPPAN Packaging Americas in Hickory, NC seeks a Printing Leader for the night shift to oversee the Press and Lamination Departments and coordinate daily production on a 12-hour schedule.

The role requires supervisory experience in a printing environment, strong attention to quality and safety, and knowledge of Food Safety and ISO 9001 standards. Onsite responsibilities include floor leadership, training, and ensuring efficient shift operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent education with training and/or apprenticeship in the printing trade (up to 5 years) is required.
• 2–3 years of progressively responsible technical work and supervisory experience are required.
• Awareness of and adherence to Food Safety requirements and training.
• Awareness of and adherence to ISO 9001 policies.
• Awareness of and adherence to Sustainability practices and training.
• Awareness of and adherence to Environmental, Health and Safety requirements and training.
• High level of concentration and attention to detail.
• Responsible for safety, quality and productivity across the shift.

Responsibilities

• Lead, organize and coordinate day-to-day operations of the Press and Lamination Departments.
• Manage performance of associates and maintain a presence on the production floor.
• Address disciplinary issues and resolve conflicts.
• Ensure compliance with quality, safety and housekeeping policies.
• Review production reports for material accountability and quality at startup and end of production.
• Coordinate shift operations efficiently and economically.
• Provide training and technical assistance to associates and back up on setup as needed.
• Coordinate coverage for PTO and overtime and arrange cross-training.
• Oversee inventory of supplies and complete shift records and reports.
• Assist with plant inventory and other duties as requested by Production Manager.
