Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; equivalent relevant experience may be considered
• 2-5 years’ experience running multiple machines, troubleshooting, and performing preventative maintenance

Responsibilities

• Perform final inspection on parts and record lot information for traceability.
• Determine feed length and shut height, adjust miss-feed and stock indicators.
• Understand production tooling and related equipment.
• Obtain raw materials from storage and move to machine area.
• Report work performed on labor forms as required.
• Work from drawings and route sheets, select tooling and materials.
• Make adjustments to press feeds and safety devices.
• Secure gauges and checking devices for job requirements.
• Determine when dyes need sharpening or repair.
• Diagnose and remedy malfunctions to tools and equipment.
• Perform first piece inspection and start production run.
• Follow SPC inspection standards and document process steps.
• Record tool life and coil numbers; store tooling properly.
• Provide for minor maintenance and preventive maintenance to PM sheets.
• Maintain clean, safe work area and follow safety regulations.
• Detect faulty operation or defective material and report conditions.
• Perform similar and related duties as required.
