Job summary

Oldcastle Infrastructure in the United States seeks an entry-level press operator to retrieve, inspect, and prepare product per customer specifications. This role focuses on operating the press, inspecting parts, and ensuring proper setup and timely shipment.

You will read specifications, notify supervisors of issues, and collaborate with teammates to maintain quality and meet production deadlines in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to be certified for Forklift and Crane within 6 months.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and work in hot, dusty environments.
• Must be able to read and interpret job specifications.
• Attention to safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Operates press, inspects and prepares parts for shipment per Operator Instructions
• Notifies supervisor of non-conforming product or problems with machine
• Communicates production issues with the next press operator
• Reads job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements
• Reviews product for inconsistencies or abnormal appearance assuring product meets quality requirements
• Performs routine machine maintenance
• Assists other operators to set up machines and any other necessary tasks to adhere to deadlines and completion of product
• Other duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed
