Position Summary:

Prescott Newspapers, Inc., a trusted community newspaper serving Prescott Valley and the surrounding areas and is seeking a Press Operator Trainee to join our Prescott Valley Print Facility team.

Press Operator Step Training Program

Our structured Step Training Program is designed to promote long-term career growth and success. The program includes Training Levels 1 through 5, providing a clear pathway for skill development and advancement.

All trainees begin at Level 1. Upon successful completion of each level, the employee earns a corresponding pay increase. Advancement through the program is performance-based and rewards demonstrated competency and mastery at each stage.

The time required to complete each level varies based on the employee’s:

  • Drive and initiative
  • Dedication and reliability
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to master required skills

This program is designed to recognize performance, encourage professional growth, and provide transparent earning potential for motivated employees.

Requirements
Key Responsibilities

This is a full-time, day shift position and plays a critical role in pressroom production.

  • Enrolled in Prescott Newspapers, Inc. Machine Operator Trainee Program to perform all training objectives to the desired results for all aspects of the operation and maintenance of the finishing department machinery.
  • Operates forklift and pallet jack once certified.
  • Lifts a minimum of 70 pounds repeatedly.
  • Climbs ladders up to 55 feet.
  • Assists in other production departments as needed.
  • Participates and follows company safety policies and procedures.
