Lee Enterprises’ Twin Falls Times-News is hiring a Press Operator or Trainee for a full-time role in Twin Falls, Idaho. The position supports offset printing on a Goss Urbanite press, with duties including loading newsprint, ink management, registration and plate making. Trainees shadow journey-level operators to learn the trade.

Hours are Monday–Friday, 4:00 PM–12:00 AM. Candidates should be 18+, able to lift 50 lbs, and distinguish colors; prior press experience is preferred but we train those

Qualifications

• This role requires you to be 18 years or older.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and handle physical tasks.
• Distinguish colors and have mechanical aptitude.
• Willing to work night shifts as needed; training provided if no prior press experience.

Responsibilities

• Load newsprint and prepare materials for printing.
• Monitor reel stands, set ink densities, and manage registration.
• Fill ink fountains, set folders, and perform plate making.
• Maintain a safe, clean press area and perform maintenance tasks as assigned.
• Learn and/or perform all aspects of offset printing with the Goss press.

Press Operator or Trainee

The Twin Falls Times-News is hiring a full-time press operator to join our team. This position will learn and/or perform all aspects of offset printing with a Goss Urbanite press and performing maintenance. Trainees will learn by shadowing journey level press operators.

This position works in the team to produce print products according to customer specifications and within deadlines. Duties include loading newsprint, making pasters, monitoring reel stands, setting ink densities, registration, filling ink fountains, setting folders, plate making, maintaining a safe and clean press area and other duties as assigned.

The hours for this full-time position are M-F, 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM.

The successful candidate will be 18 years of age or older, able to lift up to 50 lbs., be able to distinguish colors, possess mechanical aptitude and have the ability to work night shifts as needed. The ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure is required. Previous printing press experience and/or manufacturing experience is preferred. We will train those who show aptitude.
