Job summary

Amsted Automotive in Sterling Heights, MI is seeking a Press Operator for 1st shift (7:00 am - 3:00 pm) to set up and run line dies and transfer dies in stamping presses. You will work on equipment operation, participate in setup/changeovers, perform quality checks, ensure proper tagging and SAP labeling, and help maintain 5S standards in a fast-paced automotive manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum three months of press and feeder operation experience.
• Proficient with computers and production equipment control panels.
• Familiar with IATF16949, ISO 14001 and Q1 compliance.
• Experience in a fast-paced automotive manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate and set up presses, including transfer dies.
• Participate in setup/changeover as part of the team.
• Run production mode to meet output goals.
• Perform quality checks and use fixtures to ensure part quality.
• Tag parts with correct lot, operation, and SAP labels.
• Maintain 5S standards and keep workspace clean and safe.
• Complete daily production reports and downtime boards.
• Comply with environmental training as wastewater handler.
