Job summary

Deluxe Corporation in Des Plaines, IL is seeking a Press Operator to join our manufacturing team on the 1st shift, 5:00am–1:00pm. You will operate sheet fed, digital presses, bindery equipment, and related processing equipment to produce quality orders.

You will follow standard operating procedures, perform basic set-ups and changeovers, maintain ink/water balance and color accuracy, and help meet daily production goals. HS/GED with 1 year printing experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• HS/GED with 1 year printing experience preferred.
• Familiar with printing process, ink usage, and basic math.
• Mechanical ability to operate and maintain press; basic reading and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up press including loading stock, setting paper path and stretch, mounting plates, die registration, and doing attribute functions.
• Determine and meet ink density, ink/water balance, color matching, and order requirements at a quality level.
• Troubleshoot mechanical breakdowns; adjust equipment including blanket changes and wash up units as needed.
• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance and cleaning to ensure quality output.
