Job summary

ArtiFlex Manufacturing, Inc. in Wooster, Ohio, seeks a Press Operator to run presses, pack and inspect parts for defects on the plant floor. The role may involve repairing defective parts and operating a forklift when needed, reporting to the Pressroom Supervisor.

You will follow safety, quality and environmental programs, perform start-of-shift inspections, load materials, document basic manufacturing steps, and help troubleshoot run issues to maintain steady output.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to lift 40 pounds.
• Able to stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to perform repetitive motions with arms/shoulders/back.
• Forklift Operator’s license, if required.

Responsibilities

• Support and follow the Company Safety Programs
• Support and follow quality & environmental programs
• Operate presses and perform start of shift inspection
• Insert sheet metal into presses
• Placing parts in racks and labeling accordingly
• Complete basic manufacturing documentation
• Trouble-shoot quality, press, and set-up problems
• Inspect parts as indicated in the PIP
• Achieve standard run rates
• Repair defects in production parts, e.g., pimples, buckles, lows, bad hems, etc
• Perform all other work as deemed necessary by supervision
