Job summary

ArtiFlex Manufacturing, Inc. is seeking a Press Operator to operate the press machines, pack and inspect parts for defects on the plant floor in Wooster, OH. The role may involve repairing defective parts and operating a forklift if required.

You will report to the Pressroom Supervisor and support safety and quality programs as part of daily responsibilities. This position emphasizes consistent run rates, accurate documentation, and adherence to production schedules.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to lift 40 pounds.
• Able to stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to perform repetitive motions with arm, hand, shoulder, back.

Responsibilities

• Operate presses and perform start of shift inspection.
• Insert sheet metal into presses.
• Place parts in racks and label accordingly.
• Complete basic manufacturing documentation.
• Troubleshoot quality, press, and setup problems.
• Inspect parts as indicated in the PIP.
• Achieve standard run rates.
• Repair defects in production parts (pimples, buckles, lows, bad hems).
• Perform all other work as deemed necessary by supervision.

Responsibilities

• Support and follow the Company Safety Programs
• Support and follow quality & environmental programs
• Operate presses and perform start of shift inspection
• Insert sheet metal into presses
• Placing parts in racks and labeling accordingly
• Complete basic manufacturing documentation
• Trouble-shoot quality, press, and set-up problems
• Inspect parts as indicated in the PIP
• Achieve standard run rates
• Repair defects in production parts, e.g., pimples, buckles, lows, bad hems, etc
• Perform all other work as deemed necessary by supervision

• ArtiFlex Forklift Operator’s license, if required
