Hiring 1st & 3rd Shift Press Operator / Machine Operator in York PA!

Job Description

The Press Operator is an entry-level role responsible for operating stamping presses and performing secondary operations to complete assigned work orders. This position ensures parts are produced to quality standards by following established procedures, conducting inspections, maintaining supplies, and supporting an efficient and safe production flow.

Responsibilities

• Operate assigned stamping presses and related equipment in accordance with standard operating procedures.
• Perform required secondary operations to complete work orders accurately and on time.
• Add designated stamping lubricants to reservoirs and properly dispose of waste oil in approved containers.
• Conduct visual inspections for defects such as slug marks, malformed parts, and damaged components.
• Perform required quality checks, including camber, twist, hard gauge checks, insertion force, and withdrawal force.
• Accurately record inspection results on the QIP Inspection Data Sheet and other quality documentation.
• Complete all required production paperwork for assigned equipment, including work order travelers, lot/reel labels, box content forms, and machine maintenance records.
• Verify reel and lot counts upon completion of each lot and apply proper identification labels.
• Change reels and products as needed to support continuous production.

Shifts

• Day Shift: Monday - Thursday (5am - 3pm)
• Night Shift: Monday - Thursday (3pm - 1am)

Pay

• $19.25 - $25 / Hour (Based on Experience)

Work Environment

The role follows a four-day workweek schedule, with available shifts from Monday to Thursday, 5:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., and an additional shift from Monday to Thursday, 3:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m., with training conducted on the day shift from 5:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The position includes a base hourly rate with an additional 10% shift differential for eligible shifts. The facility is clean, well lit, and temperature controlled, providing a comfortable and organized production environment focused on safety and efficiency.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40040.00 - $52520.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
