Job summary

Altium Packaging in Sparta, TN, is hiring for a 12hr-D shift. The role involves operating imprinting machinery, maintaining PPE protocols, and ensuring high-quality outputs. You will inspect products, perform adjustments, and support team tasks on the line.

The position requires 1–2 years of manufacturing experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and basic math and computer skills. Comprehensive benefits are offered, with overtime potential to meet business needs.

Qualifications

• Safety awareness required on the line.
• Computer skills for documentation and checks.
• Basic math skills for measurements and quality checks.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate imprinting machines and tooling.
• Ensure PPE usage at all times (cap, hair/beard net, safety glasses, gloves, ear plugs, safety shoes).
• Operate machine controls and programs to maximize efficiency and quality.
• Make machinery adjustments and troubleshoot jams, speed, and product size.
• Inspect finished products for quality assurance.
• Assist co-operators as needed with various tasks.
• Operate tape guns to seal boxes for shipment and attach labels.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Sort rejected products to identify quality issues.
• Overtime may be required as business Needs.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Safely handle and operate any assigned imprinting machines and tooling
• Ensure proper use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) at all times; bump caps, hair/beard net, safety glasses, gloves, ear plugs, and safety shoes
• Operate machine controls, programs and associated equipment to ensure parts and prints produced are done at maximum efficiency and to the highest quality standards.
• Make machinery/equipment adjustments as needed (dislodging jams, controlling speed, product size, etc.)
• Inspect finished products for quality assurance
• Assist co-operators as needed with various tasks
• Operate tape guns to seal boxes ready for shipment
• Secure labels on to boxes
• Maintain clean/safe work area
• Sort rejected product to determine quality errors
• Reasonable mandatory overtime may be required due to business needs.
