Job summary

Responsibilities

• Safely operate and handle printing machines and tooling.
• Wear and maintain PPE such as bump caps, hair/beard net, safety glasses, gloves, ear plugs, and safety shoes.
• Operate machine controls and adjust settings for optimal speed and print quality.
• Make machinery adjustments to fix jams and control product size and speed.
• Inspect finished products for quality assurance.

The Press Operator, Digital Printing is responsible for running digital printing machines that produce quality printed materials for prescription packaging. Operators are responsible for completing periodic paperwork and machine/product checks.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Safely handle and operate any assigned printing machine and tooling
• Ensure proper use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) at all times; bump caps, hair/beard net, safety glasses, gloves, ear plugs, and safety shoes
• Operate machine controls, programs and associated equipment to ensure parts and prints produced are done at maximum efficiency and to the highest quality standards.
• Make machinery/equipment adjustments as needed (dislodging jams, controlling speed, product size, etc.)
• Inspect finished products for quality assurance
• Assist co-operators as needed with various tasks
• Operate tape guns to seal boxes ready for shipment
• Secure labels on to boxes
• Maintain clean/safe work area
• Sort rejected product to determine quality errors

Reasonable mandatory overtime may be required due to business needs.
