Job summary

The Sheridan Group in Vermont is seeking an Assistant Print Production Technician (Rolltender) to join our press team. You'll be trained on offset printing presses and contribute to high-quality printed journals and publications.

This active, hands-on role offers a stable full-time career, 12-hour day shifts, overtime opportunities, and paid training along with comprehensive benefits after 30 days.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Able to read a tape measure and perform basic math, including fractions and decimals.
• Has mechanical aptitude and enjoys working with equipment.
• Pays close attention to detail and takes pride in producing quality work.
• Can read and follow job specifications and make equipment adjustments as needed.
• Works well with others and has a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate single- and multi-color offset printing presses.
• Read job instructions and prepare the press for each project.
• Install printing plates, adjust registration, and prepare the press for production.
• Make color and quality adjustments to ensure jobs meet our standards.
• Monitor equipment during production and troubleshoot minor issues.
• Perform routine cleaning, maintenance, and minor repairs to keep presses running.
• Work safely while collaborating with a supportive team.
