Job summary

RRD is seeking a Press Operator for the 3rd shift in Iowa to set up, operate and maintain multiple press systems. Starting min rate of $27/hr with shift differential, Sunday through Friday, 11:00pm–7:00am, with possible overtime including weekends.

Responsibilities include performing make-ready tasks, color corrections, routine maintenance, and ensuring adherence to quality standards while supporting a fast-paced production environment.

Qualifications

• Train in offset printing procedures, materials and safety requirements.
• Ability to read and interpret job specifications and select proper press usage.
• Set controls, perform routine operational maintenance and minor repairs.
• Ability to perform press maintenance and adjust components as needed.
• Skilled in using a micrometer to mount and align printing plates.

Job Description

Press Operator 3- 3rdShift

Starting min rate of $27hr (including shift differential)

Schedule

• Sunday - Friday
• 11:00pm-7:00am
• Occasional overtime may be required including weekends

The position is responsible to set up, adjust, operate, and maintain a number of press equipment

• Perform all make-ready tasks associated with the type of press operated such as hanging plates or installing cylinders, examine plates/cylinders for imperfections and checks for correct positioning of images, prepping blankets, adjusting tension and register etc.
• Make necessary color corrections and/or press adjustments prior to production run to meet and maintain the quality specifications of the work
• Clean, lubricate, and maintain the press, making minor repairs and replacing worn or broken parts as required
• Performs periodic maintenance recommended by the manufacturer

Qualifications

• Requires ability to be trained inoffset printing procedures, materials and specifications, equipment, and safety requirements and skills to perform assignments
• Skill to read and understand job specifications and knowledge of press capabilities to determine the most appropriate press usage, press settings and materials needed to run the job successfully
• Skill to make a variety of precise settings of controls, settings, and adjustments, and to perform routine operational maintenance of equipment
• Skill in routine operational maintenance and minor repairs to equipment
• Skill in use of micrometer to mount and align the printing plate correctly

Additional Information

The pay range for this role at the noted location is $24.00 - $34.32 per hour. The actual rate of pay offered may vary based upon, but not limited to education, skills, experience, proficient, performance, shift, and location. In addition to the base salary, depending on the role, the total compensation package may also include a sign‑on bonus, overtime, shift differential, call-in and stand‑by pay.
