Toledo Tool and Die is seeking a full-time Press Operator in Toledo, Ohio. This role involves operating machines, monitoring production processes, and ensuring quality control. Candidates must be at least 18 years old, have a High School Diploma, and be eligible to work in the United States. The position offers an hourly rate of $18.50, along with benefits, paid time off, and a 401(k). Overtime and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds are required.

Qualifications

• Successfully complete pre-employment screening (background check and drug screen).
• Available to work overtime (daily, weekends, and holidays).
• Preferred experience operating large industrial equipment.
• Good physical stamina and coordination; capable of standing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or climbing for extended periods.
• Ability to lift, push, or pull objects up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Examine and inspect completed work pieces for defects.
• Verify and document dimensions of finished parts using measuring instruments.

Toledo Tool & Die is adding Press Operators to support continued growth. This full‑time position is located in Toledo, Ohio, with 2nd shift hours Monday‑Friday, 2:00 pm‑10:00 pm.

Key Responsibilities

• Start machines, monitor operation, record operational data and track material usage.
• Operate or tend machines to saw, cut, shear, slit, punch, crimp, notch, bend, or straighten metal material.
• Load work pieces into machines.
• Examine and inspect completed work pieces for defects and sort defective pieces according to flaw types.
• Read production schedules to determine specifications, ensuring compliance with customer dimensions and tolerances.
• Verify and document dimensions of finished parts for conformance to specifications, using measuring instruments such as calipers, gauge blocks, micrometers, and dial indicators.
• Assist in completing simple to intermediate tasks associated with coil and die changes.
• Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
• Stop production when unsafe parts or conditions appear.
• Perform other duties assigned by the immediate Supervisor or Manager.
