Job Description

• The position is responsible for setting up, adjusting, operating, and maintaining press equipment.
• Perform all make-ready tasks associated with the type of press operated, such as hanging plates or installing cylinders, examining plates/cylinders for imperfections, and checking for correct image positioning, prepping blankets, adjusting tension and register, etc.
• Make necessary color corrections and/or press adjustments prior to production runs to meet quality specifications.
• Clean, lubricate, and maintain the press, making minor repairs and replacing worn or broken parts as required.
• Perform periodic maintenance as recommended by the manufacturer.

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of offset printing procedures, materials, specifications, equipment, and safety requirements, with the skills to perform assignments.
• Experience with Flexographic printing presses (Webtron, Mark Andy, Comco, Nilpeter).
• Ability to read and understand job specifications and knowledge of press capabilities to determine appropriate press usage, settings, and materials.
• Skill to make precise adjustments and perform routine operational maintenance of equipment.
• Knowledge of the appropriate packing pressure for proper printing.
• Skill in using micrometers to mount and align printing plates correctly.

The pay range for this role at the noted location is $26.26 - $34.00/hour. The actual rate may vary based on education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift, and location. The total compensation may include a sign-on bonus of $2,000, overtime, shift differential, call-in, and stand-by pay.
