TRIM PRESS OPERATOR—2 nd Shift

POSITION SUMMARY

To ensure that customers receive a quality die cast product by removing unwanted runners and biscuits with a Trim Die Press, removing unwanted flash with a Wheelabrator and hand files, and by inspecting all parts before packaging for final shipment.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Performs all position operations as directed by SWAT charts and supervisors.
  • Performs typical Trim Press operations to support production goals in accordance with the Gibbs Shop Floor Management System.
  • Performs typical operation of “Wheelabrator” to support production goals in accordance with the Gibbs Shop Floor Management System.
  • Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to Trim Lead or Group Lead.
  • Uses basic computer and internet skills to complete assignments and training.
  • Assists in final packaging of products to be shipped to the customer.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by management.
  • Maintains regular and punctual attendance in accordance with scheduled work hours and overtime (OT) as assigned.
  • Meets all physical and environmental requirements.
  • Follows all Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality Policy regulations including the proper use of all required personal protective equipment.

REQUIREMENTS

Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

Experience: 3 or more months manufacturing experience.

Certifications: None.
