Job summary

Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. in Columbus, NE seeks a Press Operator on 1st shift. You will operate punch presses, set up lines and monitor quality to meet specifications.

Responsibilities include loading materials, running production samples after setup, and performing basic counting and material checks. Reliable, detail-oriented candidates with a high school diploma are encouraged to apply. Overtime may be available on this first shift.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Familiarity with punch presses, pressroom terminology, equipment & processes preferred.
• Must be able to accurately identify different types of raw materials.
• Must be able to compute material and finished product counts using basic math skills and a calculator.

Responsibilities

• Operate production machines such as punch presses and related equipment.
• Run products as assigned after setup and inspect to specification.
• Set up stamping line per requirements and ensure materials are correct.
• Advise die makers on setup requirements for the product you run.
• Load coil stock and feed into dies, ensuring proper tool care.
• Utilize tools including lathe and cut-off saws during production.

Do you want to help us build the DNA of tech? Vishay Dale Electronics – Columbus, NE is currently seeking applicants for a Press Operator on 1st Shift (Monday - Thursday, 5:00am - 3:30pm). Overtime is available as needed. Responsible for producing Vishay products that meet and exceed quality and customer expectations.

Job Summary:

Operates and tends all types of production machines such as several different types of punch presses and feed systems, cut-off saws, deburring machines to product production parts of various metals to include steel, aluminum, copper and other resistive materials, as well as one non-metallic materials.

What you will be doing:

• At completion of set-up, run an appropriate sample and ensure inspection is performed as required by the appropriate specification.
• Run products as assigned.
• Operator manual feed presses and/or RH lines if assigned per appropriate specification.
• Set-up stamping line per specifications and ensure all raw materials are present and correct.
• When appropriate advice die makers of the set-up required for the product you will be running.
• Loads coil stock material onto de-reeler and starts coil stock into dies at proper place as to insure proper tool care.
• Use of machine tools to include lathe, high speed punch press, cut-off saws, and de-burning equipment.
