Job summary

Vishay Intertechnology, a leading manufacturer of resistors and electronic components, seeks a Press Operator for 1st shift in Columbus, NE. You will operate and tend production machines, ensure quality, and load materials for stamping lines.

Ideal candidates hold a High School Diploma or equivalent and understand pressroom terminology. Overtime is available; be prepared to work 5:00am–3:30pm, Monday–Thursday.

Qualifications

• Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Familiarity with punch presses, pressroom terminology, equipment & processes preferred.
• Must be able to compute material and finished product counts using basic math and a calculator.

Responsibilities

• Operate various production machines including punch presses and feed systems.
• Set up stamping line per specifications and verify raw materials are correct.
• Load coil stock and feed into dies, monitor tool care, and assist die makers as needed.

Vishay Dale Electronics – Columbus, NE is currently seeking applicants for a Press Operator on 1st Shift (Monday - Thursday, 5:00am - 3:30pm). Overtime is available as needed. Responsible for producing Vishay products that meet and exceed quality and customer expectations. **Job Summary:**Operates and tends all types of production machines such as several different types of punch presses and feed systems, cut-off saws, deburring machines to product production parts of various metals to include steel, aluminum, copper and other resistive materials, as well as one non-metallic materials. **What you will be doing:*** At completion of set-up, run an appropriate sample and ensure inspection is performed as required by the appropriate specification.* Run products as assigned.* Operator manual feed presses and/or RH lines if assigned per appropriate specification.* Set-up stamping line per specifications and ensure all raw materials are present and correct.* When appropriate advice die makers of the set-up required for the product you will be running.* Loads coil stock material onto de-reeler and starts coil stock into dies at proper place as to insure proper tool care.* Use of machine tools to include lathe, high speed punch press, cut-off saws, and de-burning equipment. **What you will bring along:*** High School Diploma or equivalent* Familiarity with punch presses, pressroom terminology, equipment & processes preferred* Must be able to accurately identify different types of raw materials* Must be able to compute material and finished product counts using basic math skills and a calculator **What can we offer you for your talent:** Vishay offers a comprehensive suite of benefit programs including health care coverage, financial support programs and other resources designed to help you achieve your personal and professional goals.
