Job summary

Deluxe Corporation is seeking a skilled press operator to perform full setup and run of printing presses in a fast-paced environment in Townsend, MA.

You will be responsible for loading correct stock, maintaining ink balance, color matching to job specs, and meeting customer expectations while ensuring equipment upkeep and adherence to Lean principles. Eligible for incentive plans and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• 2 years manufacturing/printing experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform a complete effective set-up of press including identifying and loading correct stock, setting correct paper path and stretch, bending and mounting plates, mixing PMS ink, die registration, and adjustments to ink and water balance.
• Determine and understand all order instructions and running of press, meeting job requirements of ink density, ink and water balance, color matching, size and construction, and required attributes at a quality level that meets customer expectations.
• Performs daily, weekly and monthly preventative maintenance to ensure a quality product; troubleshoot mechanical breakdowns; adjust equipment including blanket changes, washing up units, and roller settings.

Responsibilities

• Perform a complete effective set-up of press includ ing identifying and loading correct stock, setting correct paper path and stretch, bending and mounting plates, mixing PMS ink, die registration, making appropriate adjustments to the ink and water balance, assuring accurate multi-color register and setting up any attribute functions, e.g. perforations, number, file holes, etc.

• Determine and understand all order instructions and running of press, meeting job requirements of ink density, ink and water balance, color matching, size and construction, and required attributes at a quality level that meets or exceeds our customer’s expectations.

• Performs daily, weekly and monthly preventative maintenance to ensure a quality product to customer as required. Understands all press controls and demonstrates their use. Maintain the ability to troubleshoot mechanical breakdowns; demonstrate the ability to make adjustments to the equipment including blanket changes, washing up units, cleaning water system and roller settings as required.

Basic Qualifications

Experience

2 years printing press experience; familiar with Lean principles. Knowledge of printing process and in usage.

Basic math, reading and computer skills. Strong communication skills.

Compensation

The compensation range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00 hourly. This position will be eligible for commission or an annual performance incentive plan. The base pay actually offered will vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, location, experience and take into account internal equity.
