Job description

WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:
  1. Set up and operate heavy-duty power presses to bend, form, stretch, and straighten products such as plates, extrusions, and structural shapes as specified by blueprints, layouts, and templates.
  2. Plan sequence of operations applying knowledge of materials.
  3. Assist in setting up and operating multiple automatic and/or multi-slide presses for various stamping products.
  4. Work from drawings, route sheets, schedules, and instructions.
  5. Check material for accuracy, load coils, and adjust coils and rollers.
  6. Assist with setting up complex progressive dies, forming blocks, and adjusting stroke and feed.
  7. Use micrometers, calipers, scales, and gauges to ensure work meets specifications.
  8. Move materials using lift trucks or cranes as necessary.
  9. Install and check safety devices as needed.
  10. Report equipment faults, defective materials, and unusual conditions.
  11. Perform other duties as assigned, possibly beyond normal hours to meet company needs.
YOU HAVE:
Academic Background
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
Previous Experience
  • 2-5 years manufacturing experience.
Skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment and meet deadlines.
  • Troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication skills.
