WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:
- Set up and operate heavy-duty power presses to bend, form, stretch, and straighten products such as plates, extrusions, and structural shapes as specified by blueprints, layouts, and templates.
- Plan sequence of operations applying knowledge of materials.
- Assist in setting up and operating multiple automatic and/or multi-slide presses for various stamping products.
- Work from drawings, route sheets, schedules, and instructions.
- Check material for accuracy, load coils, and adjust coils and rollers.
- Assist with setting up complex progressive dies, forming blocks, and adjusting stroke and feed.
- Use micrometers, calipers, scales, and gauges to ensure work meets specifications.
- Move materials using lift trucks or cranes as necessary.
- Install and check safety devices as needed.
- Report equipment faults, defective materials, and unusual conditions.
- Perform other duties as assigned, possibly beyond normal hours to meet company needs.
YOU HAVE:
Academic Background
- High School diploma or equivalent.
Previous Experience
- 2-5 years manufacturing experience.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment and meet deadlines.
