Job summary

TempWorks Software Incorporated is hiring Press Operators in Middlefield for the 2nd shift, 4pm – 12am, Monday to Friday. Weekly pay ranges from $18 to $22 per hour, depending on experience.

Applicants must have their own transportation and submit a resume; experience with extrusion presses is required. The role involves setting up and operating the extrusion press, loading materials, monitoring parameters, inspecting products, and keeping production logs.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate the extrusion press per the production schedule.
• Load resins, compounds, and colorants into hoppers with correct weight and settings.
• Monitor machine parameters and adjust to maintain production quality.
• Inspect extruded product and verify conformance to specs using measuring tools.
• Record machine settings, product quality data, downtime, and material usage.
• Perform changeovers: clean machine, die change, tooling setup.
• Handle production logs and documentation as required by supervision.

Job Duties:

• Set up and operate the extrusion press according to the production schedule.
• Load raw materials (resins, compounds, colorants) into hoppers, verify correct material, weight, and settings.
• Monitor machine parameters and make adjustments as needed to maintain optimum production and quality.
• Inspect extruded product for conformance to specifications using measuring tools.
• Make corrective actions when product does not meet specifications.
• Changeover jobs when required: clean machine, die change, tooling setup.
• Keep production logs and documentation: recording machine settings, product quality data, downtime, scrap, material usage.
• Any other task requested by a supervisor.

Requirements:

• Must be able to list up to 100 lbs. as needed.
• Previous Press Operating experience is required.
