Press Operator (Union position)

Job Summary: Press Operator tasks: Plate Making, Paper preperation, color setting, registration setting, and quality control of our printed products.

Job Functions: The successful candidate must be a flexible, self-starter, attentive to detail, diplomatic, able to provide direction, and able to multitask. Candidates for this position should have strong interpersonal skills and exhibit an ability to work efficiently as a team member as well as a team leader.

Essential Functions: Working knowledge and proficiency in a safe, efficient operation of Web offset printing, directly responsible for quality control, able to read follow print request instructions, able to do maintenance on the equipment ranging from preventative maintenance checks, to mechanical repairs, be accountable for waste, working knowledge of fork-lifts and clamp trucks (We will do training). Maintain a safe, clean, productive work area and follow all company, local, state, and federal regulations pertaining to job safety

Experience in the print media industry is a bonus, but not necessary.

Physical Demands: Frequent standing, walking, lifting, and carrying of weight up to 50 lbs.
