Job summary

MAT Industries, Inc. is seeking Press Operators on the 1st shift in Jackson, TN.

Starting pay is $19.50 per hour with a $1,000 sign-on bonus and an air-conditioned manufacturing environment. Shift is Monday-Thursday, 6:00 am to 4:30 pm with three paid breaks and a 30-minute unpaid lunch break.

Qualifications

• 2+ years' work experience operating presses and overhead cranes.
• 2+ years' experience with LINK systems automation controls.
• High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Operate presses and assist with setup; follow safety regulations.
• Read and interpret blueprints; conduct quality inspections.
• Maintain equipment and report maintenance and safety concerns.
• Train junior employees and inspect their work.
• Ensure accuracy and completion of assigned tasks; sign off on completed work orders.
• Maintain knowledge of changes in technology, compliance, and repair techniques.
• Actively participate in LEAN manufacturing culture.

Job Description

REQUIRED:

• Experience setting up and running presses / occasionallyprogressive presses.
• Follow all safety regulations and encourage co-workers to follow safety regulations.
• Follow all company policies and procedures and encourage co-workers to follow company policies and procedures.
• Read and interpret blueprints for product specifications.
• Conduct quality inspections of work.
• Maintain equipment in good working condition and report maintenance and safety concerns.
• Conducted repairs, modifications, and retrofits on production items.
• Provide data to assist in monitoring and tracking project status.
• Assist in training junior employees and inspecting their work.
• Ensure accuracy and completion of assigned tasks and projects.
• Sign off on completed work orders and quality of work.
• Maintain a working knowledge of changes in technology, compliance, and repair techniques.
• Actively participate in the development of a LEAN manufacturing culture.
