Job summary

RBC Bearings is seeking a press operator to run hydraulic, mechanical or dial presses and produce bearing components at set quality levels. You will perform a range of press operations and bench tasks, using micrometers and gauges to verify tolerances and accuracy.

The role requires careful counting, reporting discrepancies, and maintaining a safe, clean workstation. You will also assist with material movement and other duties as assigned by the lead or supervisor to support production goals

Job description

Under the direction of the supervisor either directly or through the lead person, this individual is responsible for operating a hydraulic, mechanical or dial press to produce bearing components at proper production and quality levels. General responsibilities include performing a variety of press operations such as bearing assemblies, loosening, stamping, compression, installing shields, checking for spins or cracks in races, snap rings, expanding bearings as well as bench operations such as burring, sorting, inspecting, and filling in on any job in the department as required. This individual must be able to use measuring devices such as micrometers, verniers, and radial play gages.

Other responsibilities include maintaining accurate production counts, cleaning bearings and machine along with reporting any discrepancies to the lead person or supervisor. Additional duties include keeping the workplace clean & safe, movement of materials being worked on and performing any other reasonable duties as assigned by the lead person or supervisor.
