Job summary

Marketing.com in the United States is seeking a pre-press operator to prepare files for digital and litho presses, create proofs, and deliver print-ready PDFs for client approval.

The role requires color correction skills, attention to color theory, and collaboration with client service teams. Proficiency with Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and RIP servers is essential, as is maintaining equipment and a clean work area.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of on-the-job pre-press experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare customer files for digital and litho presses.
• Generate proofs and PDFs for client approval.
• Pre-flight client files and produce plates for presses.
• Layout work in templates or layouts provided.
• Correct color files quickly and accurately.
• Collaborate with Client Service Managers, Sales, and clients.
• Maintain clean work area and troubleshoot equipment.

Job description

The operator will Prepare customer files for Digital presses and Litho Press. Generates proofs and PDF files for client approval. Additionally, this operator will effectively utilize all of the following software for file preparation, Photo Shop, Illustrator, Indesign and various RIP servers.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Layout work properly in templates or following pre-determined layouts
• Ability to correct color files quickly and accurately.
• Must be able to work professionally w/Client Service Account Managers, Salespeople and clients.
• Ability to follow written instructions.
• Computer troubleshooting ability.
• Pre-flight client files.
• Produce plates for KBA-205
• Cleaning of work area
• Maintenance of equipment
• Trouble shooting equipment

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

• 1 plus years on the job pre-press.
• Previous Litho or Digital prepress operation and understanding color theory.

• Intermediate to Advanced Computer Skills.
• Intermediate to Advanced Mathematical Skills.
• Excellent Internal and External Client Skills.
