Job summary

Marketing.com is seeking a Press Operator Lead to perform numerous machine operations in support of the plant bindery and prepress, ensuring a high level of quality in the final product.

The role requires reading job tickets, preflight forms, production notes, and alteration forms, plus effective communication with the lead or supervisor. You will follow SOPs, manage urgency, and maintain quality across imposition, trapping, outputting, and inspection, with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Vocational/technical school or college degree in electronic prepress and/or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of two years employment experience in an electronic pre-press environment.
• Extensive knowledge and demonstrated skills in all production processes related to electronic pre-press activities, including software, hardware, equipment, and materials.
• Ability to read planning layouts and produce imposed files.
• Ability to understand trapping concerns and produce correctly trapped files for the pressroom.
• Ability to work on complex jobs in a fast paced, quality focused environment.
• Ability to use problem-solving skills in producing jobs effectively.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for following department standard operating procedures and lead’s, supervisors and manager’s direction.
• Maintain a high level of quality in producing, imposing, trapping, outputting, and inspecting jobs.
• Performs other duties as requested. Work overtime as needed.
