This entry-level role supports operators with setup, quality checks, and basic make-ready tasks on a multi-press line. Shifts run 7a-3p in Stevens Point, Wisconsin, with strong emphasis on teamwork, safety compliance, and continuous improvement within Sheridan.

Qualifications

• Basic mechanical and math skills required.
• Ability to learn bundling, roll tending, and assist crew during make-readies.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks for an extended period.
• Ability to obtain and maintain Type II Forklift certification.
• Knowledge of arithmetic and English language rules.
• Ability to work independently with minimal direction and follow through on tasks.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assist in set-up of folder, stacker, and sheeter.
• Bundle folded book signatures and stack on pallet.
• Ensure pallets and supplies are stocked; report shortages.
• Assist in minor machine adjustments and press setup.
• Assist in make-ready and press maintenance tasks.
• Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping in the department.
• Operate with safety and quality as priority, promote Sheridan values.
• Support cross-functional teamwork across departments.
