Press/Machine Operator

$20-$25 per hour (based on work-related experience)

The Wilmington GPS group is seeking a part-time Press/Machine Operator to support daily production on our Goss HO presses. We are looking for a highly motivated individual to work in our fast-paced manufacturing environment. Responsibilities include preparing presses for operation, operating presses and components, cleaning equipment, maintaining mechanical readiness, and other assigned duties.

Our pressroom team aims to:

• Ensure the highest quality of printed products
• Adhere to scheduled start and stop times
• Conserve materials, especially newsprint
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Desirable: Three years of experience in web offset printing; production experience of any kind is helpful
• Preferred: Mechanical skills and familiarity with computers
• Ability to adapt to change, prioritize tasks, handle multiple responsibilities, and interact patiently with others
• Physical capability to lift/carry up to 100 pounds and push/pull up to 2000 pounds
• Ability to stand for long periods and climb stairs in a multi-level press structure
• Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl, especially during maintenance and cleaning tasks; color vision is required

This is a part-time shift position, which may include nights and weekends.
