Job summary

DOUBLE H PACKAGING INC is seeking a Press Helper in the Printing Department at Warminster to assist the Press Operator by loading/unloading skids, managing waste sheets, and keeping the feeder area running smoothly. The role requires following IQMS schedules, performing quality checks, cleaning and organizing the work area, and completing production forms.

Strong knowledge of paper handling and inventory control is essential, with the ability to work quickly in a fast-paced, high-speed press

Responsibilities

• Load and unload skids into the delivery and feeder section of the Press
• Manage all waste sheets coming from the Press
• Properly run and maintain the feeder section of Press
• Move finished and unfinished skids to next staging area and scan
• Properly clean, store and inventory metal printing plates
• Make sure all ink and water levels are maintained
• Complete production forms and paperwork
• Clean and maintain a safe and organized work area
• All other assigned duties

Position Purpose:Assist in running the Printing press

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Follow and adhere to the I.Q.M.S. schedule
• Load and unload skids into the delivery and feeder section of the Press
• Manage all waste sheets coming from the Press
• Properly run and maintain the feeder section of Press
• Move finished and unfinished skids to next staging area and scan
• Properly clean, store and inventory metal printing plates
• Make sure all ink and water levels are maintained
• Complete production forms and paperwork
• Clean and maintain a safe and organized work area
• All other assigned duties

QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience Required:

• Must have knowledge of paper handling
• Must have knowledge of inventory control

Skills/Abilities

• Ability to follow and implement step by step instructions
• Ability to move heavy objects up to 50lbs.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment with high speed equipment
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions in English
• Must be efficient in multi tasking.

Quality Standards:Must be able to understand quality standards and perform quality checks.

Safety:To maintain proper safety standards according to established Sanitary and Housekeeping Practices (GMP Compliance) Proper use of all safety equipment i.e.: proper use of personal protective gear including hairnets, gloves and safety glasses.
