Job summary

Basic Qualifications / Requirements:

• Basic shop math
• Ability to use precise measuring equipment
• Ability to operate standard tool room equipment
• Must be able to work without supervision
• Individual must be self-motivated
• Ability to read, write, and speak English
• Ability to communicate well with others
• Ability to work overtime
• Individual must observe all safety regulations to ensure own and others' safety
• Troubleshoot die / press related problems in a production environment
• Perform PM activities on stamping dies progressive and blanking.
• Press operations and ability to learn new processes
• Experienced and capable of operating an overhead crane
• Experience and capable of operating Forklift

Preferred Experience:

• Maintaining progressive dies
• Operation of overhead crane
• Forklift operator
• Die steel welding is a plus
• Ability to read and interpret blue prints
• Operation of manual machine tools (lathe, milling machine, grinders, radial arm drill press)
• Die steel welding
• Troubleshooting -- Monitoring and reviewing information from materials, events, or the environment, to detect or assess problems and repair.
• Problem Solving -- Inspecting equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects from parts to improve die quality.
• Maintain a clean & safe work area
• High School Diploma
