Job summary

Dalsin Industries is seeking an experienced Press Brake Operator to perform level-based activities including setup, operation, and inspections. You will use drawings and bend simulations to set up tooling, ensure safety, and maintain a clean work area while logging production data in EPICOR.

The role requires proficiency in blueprint reading, knowledge of Cincinnati Press Brakes, and the ability to calculate tonnages and bend allowances.

Qualifications

• Press Brake experience desirable for L1; required for all other levels.
• Advanced blueprint reading.
• Working knowledge of controls for Cincinnati Press Brakes (Windows based).
• Ability to calculate required tonnages and bend allowances.
• Ability to select proper tooling to form a part.
• Ability to work on a variety of material types and thicknesses.
• Setup experience specific to level/department/equipment.
• Sheet Metal Layout experience (Tangent Correction, Basic Bend Allowance) Level 2 and up.
• Understanding of material properties including flatness and gauge (Level 2+).

Responsibilities

• Operate Press Brake safely when lead or others have setup and validated quality requirements for a specific part.
• Maintain a neat and orderly work area; lift up to 50 pounds.
• Log EPICOR transactions; record quantities completed and scrapped.
• Perform simple setups using drawings and bend simulations; follow ¼ inch rule.
• Read and follow Shop Loads; perform inspections with precision gauging.
• Assemble, load and maintain tooling, fixtures, jigs, etc.
• Provide feedback to managers/engineering via MES/ MECr as needed.
• Lead and train for complex and simple setups and EPICOR transactions.

Level 1

• OperatePressBrake safelywhenlead or others have setup and validated quality requirements for a specificpart.
• Consistentlymaintaina neat and orderly work area.
• Mustfrequentlylift and/or move up to 50pounds.
• Perform EPICOR transactions logging in and out of jobs and recording quantitycomplete, scrapped.
• Performsimplesetups on Press Brake utilizing part drawings and bend simulations.
  • Set up/Observe ¼ inch rule. If not possible engage Lead or VSM prior tooperating.
• Reads and follow Shop Loads
• Perform inspections using precision measuring and gauging equipment.
• Perform and document all Job/Routing/Qualityprocedures as directed.
• Perform material handling functions including packaging.
• Assemble, Load and Maintain Tooling, Fixtures, Jigs, Etc.
• Perform EPICOR transactions movingmaterialfrom/to appropriate locations.

Level 3 (Includes Level 1,2, and3Requirements)

• Suggest ideas to improve job processes and inform VSMof suggestions.
• Provides adequate feedback to department manager when the job is not running within 15% of standard.
• Provides adequate feedback to Department Managers/Engineering by using M.E.C.R forms and notes on the routing.
• Working knowledge of punch and die configurations, tip radius and the effect on part geometry.
• Mustfrequentlylift and/or move up to 50pounds.
• Ability to read and comprehendinstructions, shortcorrespondenceand memos; basic math skills, working knowledge of computersystems.

Lead (Includes Level 1, 2, and 3 Requirements)

• Capable of training for complex and simple setups
• Capable of training EPICOR transactions
• Capable of training Safety and QualityRequirements
