Job Summary:This position is accountable for performingpressbrakeoperationsand activities. Individualsmust demonstrateacore competencyrequiredthroughout the organization. These competencies include safety, quality, production, and behavior.
Level 1
- OperatePressBrake safelywhenlead or others have setup and validated quality requirements for a specificpart.
- Consistentlymaintaina neat and orderly work area.
- Mustfrequentlylift and/or move up to 50pounds.
- Perform EPICOR transactions logging in and out of jobs and recording quantitycomplete, scrapped.
- Performsimplesetups on Press Brake utilizing part drawings and bend simulations.
- Set up/Observe ¼ inch rule. If not possible engage Lead or VSM prior tooperating.
- Reads and follow Shop Loads
- Perform inspections using precision measuring and gauging equipment.
- Perform and document all Job/Routing/Qualityprocedures as directed.
- Perform material handling functions including packaging.
- Assemble, Load and Maintain Tooling, Fixtures, Jigs, Etc.
- Perform EPICOR transactions movingmaterialfrom/to appropriate locations.
Level 3 (Includes Level 1,2, and3Requirements)
- Suggest ideas to improve job processes and inform VSMof suggestions.
- Provides adequate feedback to department manager when the job is not running within 15% of standard.
- Provides adequate feedback to Department Managers/Engineering by using M.E.C.R forms and notes on the routing.
- Working knowledge of punch and die configurations, tip radius and the effect on part geometry.
- Mustfrequentlylift and/or move up to 50pounds.
- Ability to read and comprehendinstructions, shortcorrespondenceand memos; basic math skills, working knowledge of computersystems.
Lead (Includes Level 1, 2, and 3 Requirements)
- Capable of training for complex and simple setups
- Capable of training EPICOR transactions
- Capable of training Safety and QualityRequirements

Education:
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
- CNC experience (preferred,requiredfor L3and Lead)
Skills and/or Experience:
- Press Brake experience desirable for L1,Requiredfor all otherlevels.
- Advanced blueprint reading.
- Working knowledge of controlsfor Cincinnati Press Brakes (Windows based)
- Ability to calculate required tonnages and bendallowances.
- Ability to select proper toolingrequiredto form a part(Acute, Gooseneck, Offset, etc.)
- Ability to work ona varietyof material types andthicknesses.
- Setup experience specific tolevel,department,or equipment
- Sheet Metal Layout experience (Tangent Correction, Basic Bend AllowanceEtc.) Level 2 and up only
- Understanding of Material Properties including Flatness, Surface Grades, Types, Gauge etc.Level 2 and up only
