Job summary

United Alloy in Janesville, WI is seeking a Press Brake Operator to set up and run heavy machinery for bending and forming metal parts. Blueprints and GD&T interpretation ensure precise finishes.

The role requires reading blueprints, selecting tooling, inspecting parts, and maintaining equipment. Hours are Mon–Fri 6:00am–2:00pm, onsite, with a comprehensive benefits package and bonus opportunities.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years’ experience operating press brake machines.
• Read and interpret blueprints; GD&T symbols.
• Exposure to metal fabrication concepts and processes.
• Operate overhead cranes, tape measure, caliper, hand tools and air tools.
• Strong attention to detail; able to work with minimal supervision.
• Physically lift up to 25–100 pounds with/without assistance.
• 12 Expected Behaviors of Actively Engaged Person.

Responsibilities

• Setup and operate press brake machines to bend, form, and shape sheet metal per blueprints.
• Select tooling and dies for each job.
• Measure and inspect finished parts for quality.
• Adjust machine settings as needed.
• Monitor operation to detect issues.
• Perform routine maintenance on press brakes.
• Follow safety policies and train others as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
