Job summary

Kloeckner Metals Corporation is seeking a Press Brake Operator for the 3rd shift. You will set up, operate, and program a press brake to produce quality parts safely and efficiently. The role offers a starting rate of $19 per hour with a 1.50 per hour 3rd shift differential and overtime opportunities.

Responsibilities include equipment preparation, quality inspections, training others, and maintaining production data. Overtime may be required as needed to meet production goals.

Qualifications

  • Ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively.
  • Must be able to read and comprehend written instructions.
  • Ability to understand and use basic math for measurements and calculations.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Knowledge of using measuring devices.

  • Quality assurance: perform first-piece and in-process inspections and adjust equipment as needed.
  • Training: assist in training others and demonstrate procedures.
  • Machine operation: operate and troubleshoot press brake, report data to supervisor.
  • Operational maintenance: maintain production operations including equipment and materials.
  • Preventative maintenance: follow policies to ensure proper operation and report repairs.
  • Safety and cleanliness: uphold a safe, clean work environment.
  • Team collaboration: work with team to achieve production goals.
  • Other duties: perform additional tasks as assigned.

Job Summary

The press brake operator is responsible for processing quality products safely and efficiently by setting up, operating and performing simple programming of a press brake. Starting at $19 hourly 3rd Shift Differential $1.50.

  • 3rd Shift Hours: 10:00 p.m. – 6:00 a.m., with availability to work overtime as needed.
Summary of Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities
  • Equipment Preparation: Prepare production equipment for operation by making necessary setup adjustments and assisting with equipment changeovers.
  • Quality Assurance: Maintain quality standards and customer specifications by conducting first-piece and in-process inspections, completing production control charts, analyzing data, and making equipment adjustments as needed
  • Training: Assist in training others for production job responsibilities by demonstrating operational procedures and best practices.
  • Machine Operation: Solve production process problems, make equipment adjustments, and report production and quality data. Communicate decisions made and refer questions to the supervisor as necessary
  • Operational Maintenance: Follow policies and procedures to maintain production operations, including managing equipment, raw materials, in-process materials, and finished goods. Report needed changes
  • Preventative Maintenance: Ensure the proper operation of equipment by adhering to preventative maintenance policies and procedures. Report needed changes and repairs
  • Safety and Cleanliness: Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
  • Team Collaboration: Contribute to the team effort by achieving related results, cooperating with team members, and accepting re-assignments as directed by supervisors
