Job summary

Kloeckner Metals Corporation is seeking a Press Brake Operator for 1st shift. You will set up, operate, and perform simple programming of a press brake while ensuring quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities include equipment preparation, quality inspections, and assisting with training and documentation. Requires reading/comprehension, basic math, and reliability, with high school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare production equipment for operation by making necessary setup adjustments and assisting with equipment changeovers.
  • Maintain quality standards and customer specifications by conducting first-piece and in-process inspections, completing production control charts, analyzing data, and making equipment adjustments as needed.
  • Assist in training others for production job responsibilities by demonstrating operational procedures and best practices.
  • Solve production process problems, make equipment adjustments, and report production and quality data.
  • Follow policies and procedures to maintain production operations, including managing equipment, raw materials, in-process materials, and finished goods.
  • Ensure the proper operation of equipment by adhering to preventative maintenance policies and procedures. Report needed changes and repairs.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Contribute to the team effort by achieving related results, cooperating with team members, and accepting re-assignments as directed by supervisors.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support production goals and team objectives.
