American Fabricators | AFI is hiring a Press Brake Operator for the 3rd shift. You will set up, operate and program a press brake to produce quality parts safely and efficiently, starting at $19 hourly with a $1.50 third-shift differential.

Typical hours are 10:00 p.m. – 6:00 a.m., with overtime as needed. Responsibilities include equipment prep, QA inspections, training peers, and reporting production data to supervisors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Able to read and follow written instructions.
• Able to read measurements and perform basic math.
• Must be reliable with a strong attention to detail.
• Basic computer skills for documentation.
• Familiar with reading work orders and reports.

Job Summary

The press brake operator is responsible for processing quality products safely and efficiently by setting up, operating and performing simple programming of a press brake. Starting at $19 hourly 3rd Shift Differential $1.50.

• 3rd Shift Hours: 10:00 p.m. - 6:0 a.m., with availability to work overtime as needed.

Summary of Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities

• Equipment Preparation: Prepare production equipment for operation by making necessary setup adjustments and assisting with equipment changeovers.
• Quality Assurance: Maintain quality standards and customer specifications by conducting first-piece andin-process inspections, completing production control charts, analyzing data, and making equipment adjustments..
• Training: Assist in training others for production job responsibilities by demonstrating operational procedures and best practices.
• Machine Operation: Solve production process problems, make equipment adjustments, and report production and quality data. Communicate decisions made and refer questions to the supervisor as necessary
• Operational Maintenance: Follow policies and procedures to maintain production operations, including managing equipment, raw materials, in-process materials, and finished goods. Report needed changes
• Preventative Maintenance: Ensure the proper operation of equipment by adhering to preventative maintenance policies and procedures. Report needed changes and repairs
• Safety and Cleanliness: Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
• Team Collaboration: Contribute to the team effort by achieving related results, cooperating with team members, and accepting re-assignments as directed by supervisors
