Job summary

Alinabal, LLC is seeking an experienced press brake operator in Putnam, CT. The role focuses on daily setup and operation of hydraulic CNC controlled press brakes, with potential cross-training on other production machines.

Ideal candidates have strong blueprint reading, fabrication experience, and a proven track record in maintaining quality and safety while meeting schedules. Valid driver’s license required and 5+ years in manufacturing preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform press brake operations and set up jobs per drawings and specs.
  • Create, edit and retrieve CNC programs and execute them.
  • Manufacture products meeting quality requirements and inspect workmanship.
  • Maintain cleanliness and fluid levels; return fixtures/tools after completion.
  • Meet delivery dates and safety standards; communicate issues to supervision.
  • Identify setup reduction and Lean opportunities; support 6S initiatives.

Position Summary

Position Summary

This position is responsible for the daily setup and operation of hydraulic CNC controlled press brakes. This position may be required to perform other operations on production machines as required.

Essential Functions
  • Perform Press Break Operations:
  • Conduct all set-up and quality operations in support of machining for self and others.

Set-up and operate machines in accordance with travelers and any other required paperwork (i.e. drawings, specifications, etc.)

  • Create, edit and/or retrieve CNC programs from system files and execute
  • Manufacture product that meets quality requirements.

Inspect and verify work prior to submitting for inspection.

  • Meet time and schedule standards for assigned task
  • Keep equipment clean and maintain proper fluid levels
  • Return all fixtures and tooling upon job completion
  • Account for time and work completed via computer access E2 management system
  • Keep equipment clean and maintain proper operating standards
  • Return all fixtures and tooling upon job completion
  • Advise supervision of issues that arise
  • Make routine decisions and use problem solving to resolve basic manufacturing issues or seek assistance
  • Identify set-up reduction opportunities and Lean process opportunities and communicate to proper 6s team lead

Qualifications Required
  • Ability to read & understand blueprints and technical documents commensurate with machine operation

  • Strong metal press forming and basic fabrication background
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of fabrication, hydraulic press and/or punch operations including basic set up
  • Ability to use various inspection gages
  • Basic computer knowledge
  • Firm understanding of Amada NT & NC9 programing
Experience/Education Required
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
Certification/License Required
  • Valid Driver’s License
