Job summary

Responsibilities

  • Operate press brake equipment.
  • Set up and operate press brake machinery to bend and form metal parts according to engineering specifications.

  • Interpret mechanical drawings and complete layout work to ensure accurate bends, angles, and finished dimensions.
  • Verify quality and measurements.
  • Use measuring tools, protractors, punches, and dies to ensure parts meet quality standards and specifications.
  • Load and move materials safely.
  • Load and unload materials while utilizing overhead cranes and material handling equipment when needed.
  • Support production goals.
  • Produce quality parts efficiently while meeting production schedules and customer requirements.
  • Maintain equipment and work areas.
  • Perform basic equipment maintenance, keep workspaces organized, and support 5S and safety initiatives.
  • Cross-train and support the team.
  • Learn additional equipment and processes while working closely with teammates to maintain a smooth production flow.

Shape the parts that build our equipment. Work with precision. Keep production moving. As a Press Brake Operator at McLanahan, you’ll play a critical role in transforming raw material into precision-formed components used throughout our equipment. In this hands-on position, you’ll operate press brake equipment, interpret blueprints, verify measurements, and ensure parts are produced accurately, safely, and on schedule.

What You’ll Do
  • Operate press brake equipment
