Job Summary

Set up and operate mechanical, hydraulic and CNC controlled press brakes with tooling.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
  • Set up, run and maintain Mechanical, Hydraulic and CNC controlled press brakes.
  • Perform operations to process parts.
  • Determine parts to be run and set up.
  • Retrieve, load, and unload specified materials and parts.
  • Produce parts to drawing tolerances and adjust as needed.
  • Ensure quality and conformance to specifications.
  • Advise supervisor and QC of any quality issues.
  • Interpret drawings and measure parts to drawings.
  • Use safety devices as prescribed by the manufacturer or MEP.
  • Perform specified preventive maintenance of equipment and tooling and assist in repairs as required.
  • Ensure safe work habits of any associate assigned to a job that you or another set‑up person has set up.
  • Fill out required paperwork and train others on the same.
  • Detail the quality inspection required by any associate assigned to a job you or another set‑up person has set up.
  • Maintain 5S responsibilities of assigned work areas.
Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • One to two years related experience and/or training.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Ability to use English grammar.
  • Math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, decimals, and fractions.
  • Use of formulas, charts, tables, drawings, specifications, schedules, wiring diagrams, and adjustable measuring instruments.
  • Understand and perform administrative duties of the job.
  • Use judgment to plan, perform, and make decisions about the sequence of setups, operations, and processes within recognized standard methods and procedures.
  • Moderate physical effort, frequently lifting or moving average weight material not over 50 lbs.
