Job description

We are currently seeking an experienced Press Brake Operator. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of one year press brake operating experience. Additionally, work includes specialized equipment operation and/or supporting functions and requires a practical knowledge of the nature and operations and the materials.

Job Function

  • Setup and document tooling and safe practices for Press Brake operations
  • Responsible for operation, proving programs, operating controls, setting all machine functions, deburring and inspection of parts to assure conformance will be required
  • Verify accuracy of machine settings to confirm accurate tolerances and machine functions
  • Operators will be required to maintain accurate parts and motivation on routine repetitive jobs
  • During operations, required to maintain cleanliness of the machine
  • In-process checks will be required by the operator to maintain all required tolerances and quality
  • Complete all required safety procedures prior to and during operations
  • Communicate with management, supervisors and other shop personnel for assignments and to resolved machining or quality issues
  • Communicate all production-related items to next shift operators or supervisors
  • Responsible for adhering to/ensuring compliance with applicable safety and quality standards.
  • All other duties and responsibilities assigned by management.
Required Skills
  • Must be able to work from drawings and sketches, read and understand manuals/specifications or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished products, sequence of operations and setup requirements.
  • Ability to show adequate manual dexterity, finger dexterity, arm-hand steadiness, and multi-limb coordination required.
  • Skilled in organizing work area before and after parts are processed, stacking completed parts properly on pallets to eliminate double handling and work efficiently.
  • Basic measurement skills, including taking, converting, and/or using measurements of length, width, height, and weight to perform basic math computations correctly required.
  • Basic arithmetic skills to calculate and convert decimals and fractions required.
  • Basic computer proficiency and working knowledge of software applications required.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively required.
  • Ability to make sound decisions based on a combination of factors including knowledge, experience, and judgment required.
  • Ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with supervisors and co-workers required.
Required Experience
  • One-year of Press Brake Operating experience required.
  • Wall crane experience helpful.
  • Fork lift experience helpful.
  • Experience setting up, operating, and troubleshooting metal working machines.

1st Shift - 6:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. (Monday-Friday) **1 opening
2nd Shift 2:30 p.m. - 11:00 p.m. (Monday-Friday)
3rd shift - 10:30 p.m. – 7:00 a.m. (Sun - Thurs)
