Job summary

Reliance, Inc. is seeking reliable, experienced candidates to set-up, program and operate hydraulic press brakes to bend sheet metal to drawing specifications. This role requires reading blueprints and routers, and performing quality inspections with attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in set-up and operation of hydraulic press brakes.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and routers.
• Read and comprehend the production schedule and work instructions.
• Strong knowledge of measuring devices (calipers, height gauges, protractors, etc.).
• Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate hydraulic press brakes per work instructions and drawings.
• Perform first piece and incremental inspections; assist with second-person verification on set-up pieces.
• Complete quality check sheets with each job and maintain SAFETY-FIRST mindset.
• Conduct operator daily machine and tooling maintenance as required.
• Follow provided instructions and safety guidelines; arrive on time for scheduled shifts.

Job Function

• Complete machine set-up and operation of assigned jobs from work instructions and blueprints.
• First piece and incremental inspections as well as second person verification on set-up pieces.
• Completing quality check sheets with each job. Perform all duties with a SAFETY-FIRST mentality.
• Performs operator daily maintenance of machine and tooling as required.
• Ability to follow instructions and follow safety guidelines.
• Arriving on time and ready to work scheduled shift.

Required Skills
