Job summary

Lake Air Products in Little Chute, WI is seeking a Press Brake Operator for 1st/2nd shift. You will set up and operate brake presses, bend and form metal to blueprints, and ensure quality with minimal rejects. Experience with Amada or Cincinnati tooling is preferred.

The position offers a shift differential for 2nd shift and a path to join a growing contract manufacturer serving medical, aerospace, and defense markets.

Salary Range: $22.00 To $29.00 Hourly

We are currently looking for a 1st or 2ndshift Press Brake Set-Up Operator to join our Little Chute, WIlocation. If you have experience with set-ups, this is the role for you!

Shift Differential offered for 2nd shift work - $1.50 per hour.

Position Summary

Relies on Press Brake personnel to set up process; operator to bend, notch, punch, form rolls, arc, or straighten metal plates or sheet metal and structural shapes to blueprint or sketch specifications. Reading, comprehension, problem-solving and math skills normally associated with completion of the 12th grade in school. Knowledge and ability to use all needed equipment and supplies identifying quality and non-conforming products. Manufacturing environment and how product flows.

• Operates power press, power brake, apron brake, swaging machine, foot-powered press, hydraulic press, or arbor press according to specifications. (Amada or Cincinnati)
• Knowledge of Set-ups.
• Knowledge of bend allowances and how to achieve them.
• Knowledge of press brake tooling.
• Roll forming and bump forming.
• Installs, aligns, and secures gears, holding fixtures, and dies to machine bed, using gauges, templates, feelers, shims, and hand tools.
• Select and position flat, block, radius, or special-purpose die sets into the ram and bed of the machine, using a hoist, crane, measuring instruments, and hand tools.
• Quickly and efficiently completing jobs with very few rejects.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience
• 2+ years of Press Brake experience
• Excellent people skills, with an ability to partner with a dynamic leadership team
• Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and a commitment to the mission
• Bend and lift, loading and unloading workpieces into the machine, and move from one workstation to another, alternately sitting and standing
